Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – In a significant move aimed at contributing towards democratic governance and inter-party dialogue across the Horn of Africa (HoA), the Horn Center for Democracy (HCD) and the African Inter-Party Dialogue Network (AIPDN) have established collaboration mechanism through a newly signed memorandum of understanding (MoU). This strategic partnership is set to amplify efforts in technical assistance, capacity building, and policy development on the continent.
AIPDN, an independent continental platform dedicated to advancing the governance-peace-security-development nexus in Africa, has a vision to foster effective inter-party dialogue mechanisms. The MoU marks a pivotal moment in their collaboration, underscoring a shared commitment to strengthening democratic governance and conflict prevention across the HoA region. By joining forces, HCD and AIPDN plan to utilize their combined expertise to support effective policy implementation, foster inter-party dialogue, and promote democracy and democratic values throughout the region.
