The Swedish Ambassador to Ethiopia and Djibouti, Permanent Representative to AU, IGAD and UNECA, Ambassador Hans Henric Lundquist, and his delegation visited our office on November 09, 2023 to discuss progresses in the implementation of Capacity Building Inception Program funded by Sweden through the Institute for Security Studies (ISS).

During the discussions, HCD’s team has presented on the gains so far in the program, administration and finance, and communications units. Following the presentations, Ambassador Hans and his delegation provided their inputs to compliment planned activities within the program.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Ambassador and his delegation to assess the ongoing project activities and discuss ways of strengthening Sweden’s partnership with the Center. 

HCD greatly appreciate Sweden’s generous support in building HCD’s capacity in delivering its vision to foster the culture of democracy in the Horn of Africa Region.
