Today, Feb. 15^th, 2024, HCD held a technical validation for the study on Gender Analysis of Democracy and Governance in the Horn of Africa Region. Participants of the validation, both in person and online, include gender and governance experts from UN Women, UNICEF, Mak every Women Count, and independent researchers and academics. In her welcoming speech, HCD’s Program Director Yemisarch Kebede, extended appreciation for the participants and reiterated the significance of the gender analysis study for nuanced understanding of the gender context in the HoA region and set benchmarks for any democracy and governance related program, research, advocacy and policy dialogue interventions.
